We visited some new woods yesterday and enjoyed the discovery of somewhere new. We played imaginary games of monsters and bears chasing us, where we had to hide and make quick escapes.
Spotting and identifying fungus to add to our nature journal.
Trying to catch grasshoppers to take home, but being unsuccessful we just observed.

In my experience, exploring is probably the best way to keep rambunctious boys busy! As a quiet grown-up, though, I'm grateful that most of the times all I have to do is open my door and let my boys do the exploring while I wait for them to come back and tell me all about it:)!
