cloudy

Well, it has been a strange kind of weekend for me. In a rut, the funk, uninspired or whatever you may call it. I go to bed with all these ideas of things to do the next day, but when the time comes I have been feeling a somewhat lack of enthusiasm. I hate it when I feel like this, so yesterday I decided to grab the bikes, scooters, balls, bats etc. etc. and have a good old run and play around in the park. I'm thinking all that exercise will get those endorphins going. Does anyone else have days like this? What do you do to pick yourself up?

I did find the energy to make my next new soup, Red Pepper Soup from this book. It's quite a light soup so would be ideal as a starter, for a lunch would be great with some fresh chunky wholemeal bread to bulk it out a bit, as otherwise I would still feel hungry. I left out the lemon rind and topped it just with olives and Greek yogurt. With all those red peppers and tomatoes this soup must be brimming with antioxidants.
Today is a holiday, so the children are home today. I hope my cloud has lifted and stays away for a while.

I do hope your endorphin and antioxidant cure worked! Usually when I have one of those no-enthusiasm periods I need some time for myself, the time to do something by myself, beginning to end, uninterruped. When I get that chance, I feel like I've recharged my batteries!

I agree with Francesca. Maybe you need to write a list (or lists!) of what you want to do and how you are going to do it. I like lists way to much and have post-it stickers all over my house..... :)
