Corner View: modes of transportation

Most people in my town get around by the dreaded car. In their defense the public transport system (buses) is very poor; incredibly unreliable and doesn't even cover much of the town. The basic concept seems to be that people only need to travel up to the town centre and back! Personally, I hate the car and do not own one. I rely on my two feet and two legs and they take me wherever I want.

My town is very good for cyclists. There are cycle paths criss-crossing the town, and for the most part they are scenic, well-kept and safe.

I also hate the car, but I couldn't do without it where I live. And when I grow up, I'm going to live in a place where I can do without:)!

In my defence, there is no public transportation here and if you walked very far you would probably suffer from heat exhaustion.

I love walking too, I walk each day to and from work (around half hour one way). Its nice to use the car only once or twice a week!

Good for you. You're probably in better shape than all of those drivers. Thanks for sharing your corner!

Hello Samantha, it was nice having you visit my blog, and yes, all the illustrations on PAINTBOX are my own. I do see that you enjoy walking as well and you wear a version of the Mary Jane too, wonderful!
